Dear Parents/Carers and pupils,
We hope this email finds you all well and safe. Once again thank you for all the home learning that was sent. Keep it up! Find attached the new set of tasks with additional activities that will need to be completed over the next two weeks and due on Friday 12th June 2020, when new activities will be sent out.
This week the new whole school approach Home Learning is based on the theme of Lights, camera, action! Once again, this provides a range of meaningful learning opportunities for pupils which can be completed without access to a computer, and with further links to online resources linked to the topic. This also means that children can complete the activities with their siblings who will have received similar activities. Please do not print the worksheets. However, the work should be presented legibly in the home learning book.
Also, as part of this week’s home learning, we are asking all children to complete the activities of the Gadget booklet and email back a piece of persuasive writing (see example on page 3) that will be assessed. For this particular activity, find attached the writing targets children need to use to ensure that their writing contain all the correct features to demonstrate that they are working at or above age expected standards. These are the same targets they have been working on throughout the year and will be familiar with them.
Also, another gentle reminder - do not forget to complete the writing task for the end of year book if you have not already done so. An email was sent yesterday! The final deadline is Wednesday 3rd June 2020. Could the children also forward a sensible selfie/picture to go with their writing?
Please, continue to listen to your child read and ask them questions about their activities. Encourage them to complete and email back the completed activities or any other work, to: email@example.com. Pictures of the work can also be sent.
We thank you all in advance for your collaboration. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school or myself. Remember we are all here to help and support you.
Stay safe and I hope to see you all soon!
